The passenger ferry is a TransLink service with the 50-cent fare. TransLink says the south-east Queensland network is cashless: pay with a go card, a contactless credit or debit card or a paper ticket; cash can only be used to top up a go card. Taking a vehicle is a separate SeaLink booking charged by vehicle type, with fares effective from 1 July 2026 and a temporary 3% fuel surcharge on top (no end date published). SeaLink also sells walk-on tickets for its vehicle ferry at $10 adult and $4 child. SMBI residents with a registered resident profile pay a lower vehicle fare. All fares in Australian dollars (AUD).
The Russell Island ferry links Redland Bay, on the Queensland mainland south-east of Brisbane, with Russell Island, one of the Southern Moreton Bay Islands. SeaLink's notice of 6 October 2026 says low tides may delay or reschedule vehicle sailings until January 2027.
